YEREVAN. – Interests and values should go hand in hand in the cooperation of Azerbaijan with the EU, Mr Johannes Hahn, the European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement, told at the plenary session of the Euronest parliamentary assembly on March 18 in Yerevan.
“We look forward to receive ideas in this regard. We see many advantages in development of our bilateral relations, on the basis of a new comprehensive legally binding agreement addressing all aspects of our relations,” he added.
He reaffirmed the hopes of EU to bring to life the Southern Corridor, a natural gas channel from the Caspian region and the Middle East to Europe, bypassing Russia.
“Success of southern gas corridor depends on a stable, secure and prosperous Azerbaijan,” he said.
