YEREVAN. – Cooperation with the European colleagues is very important for the Armenian lawmakers, Speaker of the Armenian parliament Galust Sahakyan said during the opening of EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee. 

"We will be happy to develop and strengthen relations with our EU colleagues in the future to adopt their experience on legislation,” he said.

Galust Sahakyan pointed out European Parliament's support for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the form of relevant resolutions.

“We very much appreciate the approaches of our colleagues and the fact that we share fundamental values,” Sahakyan resumed.
