Armenia keeps engagement with the European Union, Deputy Foreign Minister of RA, Mr Karen Nazaryan, told on Thursday at the session of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee in Yerevan.

The EU, he added, remains a key partner for Yerevan in promoting human rights and assisting democratic institutions, fighting corruption, and in building a conducive environment to increase trade and investment and give momentum to mobility partnership.

“Just two days ago we have concluded discussions on the scope of a new legal framework of our future relations. Generally, in the last few days we’ve had a strong agenda with our European partners in Yerevan,” he said.

High-level delegations from the EU in Armenia in the last few days included representatives of a group of European financial institutions, including the vice president of the European Investment Bank, Mr. Wilhelm Molterer and several dozen members of the European Parliament, who met in Yerevan to participate in the plenary session of the Euronest parliamentary assembly.
