YEREVAN. – The Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), just like any integration process created in the post-Soviet period, cannot become an established organization.
The secretary of Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party National Assembly Faction, Tevan Poghosyan, noted the above-said at a press conference on Saturday.
To the question on why the Armenian President was not invited to the recent talk between the Russian, Belarusian and Kazakh presidents, and during which these leaders had discussed the matter of creating a single currency for the EEU, Poghosyan responded: “Being an MP who voted against the EEU accession [of Armenia], I will accept with internal delight whenever they will not invite Armenia to similar meetings.”
The opposition MP added that the EEU accession was not in the long-term interests of Armenia.
