The Armenian Blue Cross of France organized tree planting near the monument to the Armenian Genocide victims in Marseille.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of Marseille Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin and was attended by MP Valerie Boyer, Nouvelles d'Arménie reported.

One hundred almond and pomegranate trees will be planted in 2015 to form a park of memory.

“History, especially when it is about crime against humanity, must be never forgotten,” Bpyer said.
