YEREVAN. – Azerbaijani Defense Minister “modestly” reduce the number of losses in their own army, spokesperson for the Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

His comments came in response to Azerbaijani Defense Minister's statement made in Tbilisi.

“The statements of the Azerbaijani Minister is nonsense. Azerbaijan does not miss a single platform to come up with anti-Armenian statements. However, we are confident that our colleagues, our partners distinguish truth from fantasy,” Harutyunyan added.

As to the figures quotes by Azerbaijani senior military official, Artsrun Hovhannisyan said: “The Minister 'modestly' reduced the number of casualties in his own army. The number is several times higher. Accordingly, the figure on the losses in the Armenian army voiced by the minister is exaggerated.”
