Switzerland tries to keep quiet with regard to the question of the Armenian Genocide, as reported by TV Svizzera website.

“During the events devoted to the Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, Switzerland will be represented only on the level of the ambassador. Swiss Federal Council explains this decision by the traditional intermediary role of the country.

As reported by the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement released on Wednesday, it is not the first time the Swiss Government has condemned the tragic events of 1915, seeking to regulate the relations between Turkey and Armenia,” the article states.

Switzerland recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2003.
