YEREVAN. – The Ukrainian developments are perceived with pain and a deep sense of empathy in Armenia, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said in an interview with the International Affairs magazine of Russia.
“We are well aware of the situation not only through diplomatic channels. Half a million Armenians live in all regions of Ukraine,” he said.
The Armenian side is convinced that the situation must be resolved through dialogue. Armenia was among the first to welcome the Minsk agreement on Ukrainian crisis, Nalbandian added.
“We hope that implementation of the agreements will enable to find a comprehensive settlement and will open the way to peace and stability,” he added.
