YEREVAN. – Within the framework of the constitutional reforms in Armenia, the most actively discussed topic is a form of government, but it is also important to be able to secure effective mechanisms in the field of human rights, Armenian Justice Minister Hovhannes Manukyan said.

Armenia needs tolerance in the society to eliminate any kind of discrimination, he said, adding that Armenia underscores importance of cooperation with European partners on human rights.

“It is in the European culture. Cooperation with Europe is one of priorities of our political leadership. We decided to join the Eurasian Economic Union but this does not rule out collaboration with Europe,” he said.

Eurasia Partnership Foundation presented two policy papers on the prospects of adoption of anti-discrimination legislation in Armenia – the project supported by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
