OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs will visit the region later this year, Russian Co-Chair Igor Popov said.

“We plan to visit the region in May-June. We will discuss the date of our visit next month. The exact date of the visit has not been fixed yet,” the diplomat told APA agency on Wednesday.

The Co-Chair added that the mediators are working on a thorough agenda of the next meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents.

“Of course, we intend to arrange the next meeting of the presidents. Prior to that, we have to organize a meeting of the two countries’ foreign ministers to discuss preparations for the president’s meeting,” Popov added.

The Russian co-chair also expressed concern over the escalation of tension on the contact line, urging the conflicting parties to respect the ceasefire.
