YEREVAN. – The Armenian state will cover the funeral expenses for well-known politician, the late Vahan Hovhannisyan, who was the Ambassador of Armenia to Germany.
The respective decision was made at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.
In addition, the state will reimburse the expenses for bringing Hovhannisyan’s body from Germany back to Armenia.
Furthermore, a monument will be erected on his grave.
Vahan Hovhannisyan (1956-2014) was one of the most charismatic figures of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun Party. He was a member of parliament from 1999 to 2013, and in December 2013, he was appointed Armenia’s ambassador to Germany.
