YEREVAN. – The Armenian parliament started debates on draft resolution calling on the international community to recognize and condemn the Armenian Genocide.
The document was introduced by representatives of all factions except for the Armenian National Congress.
Noting importance of the Armenian nation's contribution to condemnation and prevention of the crimes against humanity, the draft resolution calls on the parliaments and inter-parliamentary structures to formally recognize and condemn the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire as the gravest crime against humanity.
