YEREVAN. – An Armenian delegation, led by Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, on Saturday left for Lebanon on an official visit.
During the trip, Ohanyan is scheduled to meet with Lebanon’s Prime Minister Tammam Salam, Vice PM and Minister of Defense Samir Mokbel, and Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Jean Kahwaji, informed the Armenia MOD press service.
The Armenian defense minister will also pay a visit to the Armenian peacekeepers that are serving in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) multinational mission, and meet with its commander, Major General Luciano Portolano.
Seyran Ohanyan is also expected to meet with Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia of the Armenian Apostolic Church, other spiritual leaders of the Armenian churches in Lebanon, and representatives of the Lebanese Armenian community.
