French President François Hollande has arrived in Cuba on an official visit.

This is a French leader’s first visit to Cuba in more than one hundred years.

In Havana, Hollande is expected to meet with Cuban President Raúl Castro.

The Hollande-led delegation also comprises twenty representatives of French businesses.

François Hollande has also become the first Western leader to visit Cuba after an announcement in December 2014 on restoration of diplomatic relations between Washington and Havana, reported the BBC Russian Service.
