At least five are dead and 50 injured as a train derailed Tuesday night in Port Richmond, Philadelphia.

The Amtrak train bound to New York City from Washington derailed minutes aftre leaving the station, Phily.com reported.

There were about 238 passengers and five crew members on the train, Amtrak company said.

Mayor Michael Nutter said five people were confirmed dead.
