Chill in relations between Ankara and Moscow was caused by Russian president's visit to Yerevan on April 24, Serbia's Telegraf portal writes.

“The reason to delay the Turkish Stream, experts see in chill in relations between Ankara and Moscow after the recent speech by President Putin in Yerevan where he condemned the Armenian Genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman army,” reads the article titled: “Turks angered, Putin said 'no' even to Turkish Stream”.

According to the author, the news was unexpected since earlier representatives of Gazprom and Turkey's Botas were optimistic. According to some sources, the talks were close to an end, and the Turkish side was preparing to get a discount for Russian gas. But after 1.5-month talks, the sides are undecided on how the discount formula can be applied.

“No one can predict when the deal is reached. This will happen when relations with Turkey will improve,” the author says.
