YEREVAN. - The rise in the cost of electric power, even if it happens, will not pose a threat in terms of the service provided to the patients, Armenia’s Healthcare Minister Armen Muradyan said at the Parliament Wednesday. According to him, among other things, the required temperature regime in medical institutions will be maintained in any case.

“There’s no doubt here. The continuous operation of hospitals and polyclinics will not suffer,” Muradyan said.

Currently the tariff of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) for the population comprises 41,85 AMD for 1 kWh in daytime and 31,85 AMD at night. The claim submitted by ENA proposes to increase the tariff to 58 and 48 AMD respectively.
