STEPANAKERT. – The President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh), Bako Sahakyan, on Saturday met with the participants of the visiting session of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Armenia.

The session was convened in the NKR capital city of Stepanakert, and its participants were led by the president of the academy, Levon Mkrtchyan.

The development of health care in Artsakh and cooperation between the two Armenian states in this domain were discussed during the talk, reported the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

President Sahakyan highlighted cooperation with the Academy of Medical Sciences of Armenia, noting that activities carried out in the NKR by this organization and the support rendered to Artsakh has already produced positive results.

NKR Minister of Health Harutyun Kushkyan also attended the meeting.
