STEPANAKERT. – The Prime Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh), Arayik Harutyunyan, on Sunday traveled to Talish and Mataghis communities of the NKR Martakert Region, and got familiarized with the local economic projects.

First, Harutyunyan paid visits to the Talish and Mataghis fields, where cooperative land cultivation is carried out, too. The PM expressed satisfaction with the results of the activities in the arable lands, reported the Information and Public Relations Department of the NKR Cabinet staff.

The premier also toured the Mataghis fish farm—which is being built with the means provided by a Swiss Armenian businessman—for production of black caviar, and where final activities are conducted to receive the first batch of caviar.

“An ambitious program of Artsakh’s economy (…) will be launched soon,” Arayik Harutyunyan stressed. “It is noteworthy that such a major project with government support is implemented in a border locality [of the NKR], boosting the rapid and sustainable development of the surrounding villages.”
