YEREVAN. – The costs for fighting against tuberculosis in Armenia have increased in 2014.

Minister of Health Armen Muradyan stated the aforementioned on Monday at the National Assembly, as he presented the respective 2014 Budget Execution Report.

Accordingly about 1.5 billion drams (approx US$ 3,132,800) were allocated from the budget for this project last year, whereas in 2013, this amount totaled little more 1.2 billion drams (approx $2,506,240).

But in the case when 1,055 primary and 379 secondary tuberculosis patients were recorded in Armenia in 2013, the number of these patients dropped to 1,046 and 319, respectively, last year.
