YEREVAN. – Russian border guards prevented an attempt to smuggle drugs smuggle from Armenia to Iran on Sunday.
The border guards of Meghri customs checkpoint together with the border department of Russia's Federal Security Service found a package with dark brown substance with a total weight of more than 10 grams (presumably raw opium) under a seat of a bus heading from Tehran to Yerevan.
The border guards are working to clarify details of crime.
