Azerbaijan is ready to commence activities toward signing a comprehensive peace agreement on a peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov announced the abovementioned in the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku, during his joint news conference with Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Chairperson-in-Office (OSCE CiO) Ivica Dačić, who is also the Minister of Foreign Affairs Serbia.

“In case of consent from Armenia, we [i.e. Azerbaijan] are ready to work, within the framework of any working group, to conclude a comprehensive peace agreement,” said Mammadyarov, reported Haqqin.az news agency of Azerbaijan.

In Baku, Dačić also met with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, during which they discussed the avenues for settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The OSCE CiO is in the Azerbaijani capital city on a regional visit. Ivica Dačić will also pay visits to the Armenian and Georgian capital cities of Yerevan and Tbilisi.
