Kemal Kildichdaroglu, president of Turkey’s oppositional Republican People’s Party (CHP), stated that in case of victory in the parliamentary elections, CHO will start a new a stage of relations with neighbors, including Iran.

“Coming to power, our party intends to start qualitatively new stage of relations with other states, and, first of all, with our neighbors. Our foreign policy will be aimed at ensuring peace, tranquility, as well as mutually beneficial economic and political cooperation,” Kildichdaroglu stated in an interview given to Sputnik Turkiye.

According to him, CHP strategy in the foreign policy “lies in the aspiration to live in peace with their neighbors, not interfere in their domestic affairs, [and] develop relations on the basis of mutual trust and respect,” RIA Novosti reports.

“Iran - our neighbor with whom we have been supporting relations for decades - is a powerful, respected and influential country in our region. Because of the policy of our current leadership, which ignores the principle of non-interference in the domestic affairs of other countries, we occasionally experience tense periods in the relations with our neighbors, including Iran,” Kildichdaroglu said. 

He supposed that “the talks between E3+3 and Iran on the Iranian Nuclear Program will be successfully completed on June 30 by the signing of the final comprehensive agreement.” “Removal of sanctions from Iran will benefit not only the country itself, but also all our region. People of Iran will finally be able to overcome all the difficulties caused by the economic embargo,” CHP president said.
