The famous Armenian journalist Markar Esayan, who has been proposed as a candidate to Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), visited one of the streets in Istanbul’s Şişli district.
On his Twitter page Markar Esayan posted photos of his visit, which he called a ‘love march.’ During the visit, Esayan welcomed the citizens, talked to them and gifted flowers to the women and ladies.
At Turkey’s parliamentary elections Armenians hold leading positions in the electoral lists of Justice and Development Party (AKP), oppositional Republican People’s Party and the Kurdistan Democrat Party.
Parliamentary elections in Turkey will be held on June 7.
