YEREVAN. – The French Veolia Group company, which is the water supply and drainage system operator of Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, is prepared to offer waste recycling and biogas generation to Armenia.

The chairman and CEO of Veolia Environnement S.A., Antoine Frérot, stated the abovementioned at a press conference on Tuesday.

He noted that the Veolia Group is known in fifty countries in the management of solid waste and for energy projects.

“We know how to receive biogas from waste with modern means,” Frérot noted.

He added that obtaining this fuel is cheaper than importing it from abroad.

“In addition, green projects help the economy and attract tourists,” said the Veolia boss.
