YEREVAN. – The parliamentary debates with the participation of the representatives of Armenia's energy sector are over.
The debates on electricity price hike were attended by Energy Minister Yervand Zakharyan, head of Public Services Regulatory Commission Robert Nazaryan and Director General of Electric Networks of Armenia Yevgeny Bibin.
The reporters were waiting for Director General for more than two hours, but Bibin ignored the questions.
The current electricity rate is 41.85 drams per 1 kWh during the day and 31.85 at night. However, it is proposed to increase the rate to 58 and 48 drams respectively.
