Regular meeting of the Defense Ministers’ Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries kicked off Wednesday in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan. 

The discussants, chaired by Russian Minister of Defence Sergei Shoigu, will confer on around twenty matters with respect to multilateral cooperation.   

The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, also is participating in this meeting.

From Kyrgyzstan, Ohanyan will next travel to Tajikistan to participate in Thursday’s meeting of the Defense Ministers’ Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states.
