Arsen Khojoyan—the Armenian citizen who had been returned from captivity in Azerbaijan last year—is again receiving treatment at the Scientific-Medical Center of Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

Khojoyan’s mother, Ms. Svetlana told about the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The disease recurred, now he gets outpatient treatment in Yerevan,” Ms. Svetlana said. “According to the doctor, a change of air could have a positive impact on Arsen.”

Arsen Khojoyan, a then-23-year-old resident of Verin Karmiraghbyur village of Armenia’s Tavush Province, had crossed the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and taken prisoner on March 7, 2014. With mediation by the International Committee of the Red Cross, however, Khojoyan was repatriated on April 10 of the same year. But he complains of physical and psychological health issues ever since his return from captivity.

The repatriated Armenian captive was admitted to hospital on August 30, 2014, and diagnosed with vulgar psoriasis which, according to doctors, is a result of stress. Although he was discharged from hospital on September 12 of the same year, he has been readmitted to hospital several times. Arsen Khojoyan now receives disability pension.
