YEREVAN. – The flow of foreign direct investments in real sector of Armenia's economy totaled less than 60.2 billion drams in the first quarter of 2015, the official data shows.
Notable growth in investments was registered on a number of countries (the Netherlands, France, Argentina, UAE and others). However, the overall index was affected by a huge slump in investments from Russia – by almost 34.6 billion drams.
Nearly two-thirds of foreign investments (62.2%) fell on the production of basic metals, supply of natural gas and electricity as well as retail trade.
The net inflow of direct investment during this period decreased by 34.3 billion drams or almost twice.
