YEREVAN. – The talk between Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Chairperson-in-Office (OSCE CiO) Ivica Dačić, who is also the Minister of Foreign Affairs Serbia, and President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh) Bako Sahakyan, was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, NKR FM Karen Mirzoyan told reporters.

To note, the Dačić-Sahakyan meeting was held Wednesday in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

In the Artsakh minister’s words, views were exchanged on the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiations. The meeting agenda also included the situation at the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact, and the avenues for reducing tension.

The Karabakh party underscored the OSCE activities, which are aimed at the creation of a necessary climate for a progress in the negotiations.

Mirzoyan stated that all matters relating to the situation in the region are discussed in meetings with the mediators; that is, they do not focus on one matter, but on compound issues.

The NKR FM added, however, that the position of the opposing party is most important here.

“We believe that if Azerbaijan chooses a constructive way, the matter of arms supplies to the region will cease to be pressing,” stressed Karen Mirzoyan.
