The fate of Armenians is a vivid example of mass annihilation, ethnic cleansings, deportation and genocide, which marked the 20th century in a terrible way, reads the resolution adopted by the Czech organization ‘Young Social Democrats’ according to the organization’s Facebook page.
“Young Social Democrats, whose main values include justice and humanity, condemn the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, which started hundred years ago, lasting for eight years,” the resolution reads.
“We urge the leaders of Turkey and other states, which haven’t yet recognized these historical events as Genocide, to do so and advance the talks leading to the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia,” the author of the document said.
