YEREVAN. – Armenia's Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with the Archbishop of Prague Dominik Duka on Wednesday, the last day of his visit to Prague.
Expressing gratitude for warm reception Hovik Abrahamyan highly assessed friendly relations between Armenia and the Czech Republic, and in this context underscored importance of cooperation between the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Catholic Church.
The Prime Minister thanked for providing of St. Jilji Church for he Armenian religious services and especially thanked Cardinal for support to the commemoration of the centenary of the Armenian Genocide.
Cardinal Duka highly appreciated Armenian official's visit to the Czech Republic and stressed the importance of strengthening and deepening of the Armenian-Czech friendship. According to him, it is an honor to receive representatives of the nation that was first to adopt Christianity as a state religion. Cardinal considered invaluable Armenian nation's contribution to the world spiritual and cultural heritage.
