YEREVAN. – The state budget of Armenia will allocate money to reimburse the ex-Soviet Sberbank (Savings Bank) deposits of the Karabakh War veterans.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Artem Asatryan, stated the aforesaid at Thursday’s Cabinet session.

In order to ensure the necessary amount of repayment, 10 percent of the envisioned funds will be allocated to these war veterans.

In 2015, the Government of Armenia allocated Armenian drams equivalent to approximately US$ 3.1 million for reimbursement of the ex-Soviet Sberbank deposits.
