Armenian Ambassador Tatoul Markarian (diplomatic residence in Brussels) extended his credentials to Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg on Wednesday.
Following the credentials ceremony, private talks between Ambassador Markarian and Grand Duke of Luxembourg took place. The latter congratulated the Ambassador on the credentials and expressed hope that he will have his input in the further expansion and strengthening of friendly relations and mutual cooperation between Armenia and Luxembourg.
Referring to the high level of dialogue between Armenia and Luxembourg, Ambassador Markarian expressed gratitude for the adoption of the resolution on Armenian Genocide recognition by Luxembourg’s parliament. Upon the request of the Duke, Markarian also presented the development process of Armenia-EU relations, taking into account that Luxembourg will soon assume the EU presidency. The interlocutors also discussed the possibilities of developing Armenian-Luxembourg business ties, regional developments, as well as questions related to the process of the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
