YEREVAN. – The Electric Networks of Armenia should not look for blame anywhere else, MP from ruling Republican Party of Armenia Mkrtich Minasyan said.
“Such behavior should be excluded. Of course, every factor that objectively affects the cost - the exchange rate, fuel for thermal and nuclear power plants – should be taken into account. But as to luxury items, if there are any, they can not be included in electricity rate,” he told reporters on Saturday.
The current electricity rate is 41.85 drams per 1 kWh during the day and 31.85 at night. However, it is proposed to increase the rate to 58 and 48 drams respectively.
