YEREVAN. – Resolution on the Armenian Genocide presented in Bundestag notes unique nature of the Holocaust, which is a wrong wording, historian Ashot Ayruni said during a media conference on Monday.

He recalled that resolutions on the Armenian Genocide were presented in Bundestag in late March and early April.

“President of Germany Joachim Gauck said Bundestag intends to discuss the issue. However, Turkey through German Foreign Minister started exerting pressure in Bundestag  after which ‘genocide’ word was removed from the resolution,” he said.

The discussion on the Armenian Genocide will last till the second half of July before the recess.

“The resolution contains both acceptable and unacceptable elements,” the historian added.

Bundestag calls on the government to include extermination of Armenians in school programs in the context of ethnic conflicts which is unacceptable for Armenia.
