Once the official parliamentary election results are publicized in Turkey, ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chairman, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, will meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Davutoglu will meet with Erdogan to discuss the post-election situation, and plans for the AKP’s future courses of action, reported the Milliyet daily of Turkey.

As a result of Sunday’s election, the ruling party failed to garner the enough number of votes to form a government on its own, and therefore possible coalition government options are discussed at present.

As reported earlier, however, Istanbul Armenian journalist Markar Esayan—who was nominated by the AKP—, Istanbul Armenian woman Selina Ozuzun Dogan—who was nominated by the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP)—, and Istanbul Armenian activist Garo Paylan—who was nominated by the pro-Kurdish “Peoples’ Democratic Party” (HDP)—have been elected members of the Turkish parliament.

As a result, the Turkish Grand National Assembly again will have Armenian MPs after 54 years.
