YEREVAN. – The parliamentary election results in Turkey have made the country enter a phase of political uncertainty, and this had its quick negative impact on the country’s economy, turkologist Andranik Ispiryan said at a press conference on Tuesday.

In Ispiryan’s words, due to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s policy, the precept of “Let it be anyone, but Erdogan” prevailed in this election.

As per the turkologist, the election results show that the ruling Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) votes have considerably dropped primarily in Turkey’s Kurdish-populated regions.

“This result of the elections seems to be taking Turkey to the ‘good old’ times of chaos, when the activities to form coalition governments used to create political instabilities in the country,” Ispiryan noted.

He also argued that the parliamentary election results in Turkey will lead to geopolitical changes in the region.
