In January-April amount of private remittances received by individuals through the Armenian banking system declined by more than $162 million or by almost 35 percent.

The reduction in remittances was registered among all countries from where the physical persons in Armenia received significant amounts. Only from U.S. inflow of remittances has increased by 2.6 million. or by 33.9 percent in April. But this was a minor positive against the background of a collapse in the dynamics of large-scale remittances.
