YEREVAN. – Ghana’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Kodzo Alabo—whose diplomatic residence is in Moscow—, on Tuesday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success. Sargsyan also noted that Armenia underscores political discourse with Ghana and contacts with African countries.

Ambassador Alabo, for his part, first conveyed the Ghanaian president’s gratitude to President Sargsyan for his message of condolences in connection with the numerous casualties that occurred as a result of the recent terrible explosion in the Ghanaian capital city of Accra, and for standing and sympathizing with the people of Ghana during this grave tragedy.

The ambassador noted that he will work with sincere devotion in order to strengthen Armenia-Ghana relations, and discover and fully use the potential for collaboration.

The interlocutors shared the view that active contacts and the formation of a legal framework will create a solid foundation for the development cooperation between the two countries in several domains.

Serzh Sargsyan and Kodzo Alabo also praised the Armenia-Ghana collaboration within the framework of international organizations.
