YEREVAN. - Struggle against the new Armenian law on cumulative pensions is underway, Artsvik Misyan, Armenian MP from ARF Dashnaktsutyun faction told Armenian News – NEWS.am.  

According to him, they continue sending letters to the government and the Central Bank, periodically presenting the answers received from them to the Constitutional Court. “Our struggle is underway. The fact that we do not announce about a certain action does not mean we are not struggling. This is exactly what proves that we treat the question seriously. Even if the Constitutional Court doesn’t satisfy our claim on July 7, we will still continue our struggle,” Minasyan said.  

Three non-governmental parliamentary forces of Armenia (Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun and Heritage factions) filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court on October 3, 2014, lodging a complaint on the discrepancies between the new law on cumulative pensions and the country’s Constitution. The court hearing was appointed on March 31, 2015, however it was extended to July 7.
