YEREVAN. - Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) was not a wrong decision, Vache Gabrielyan, Deputy PM, Armenia’s Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

According to him, EEU should not be linked with the economic situation of the region. “Currently the situation in the region is intricate, especially in the Russian Federation.  The impact of EEU on Armenia’s economy cannot be immediate. Our accession to the EEU was not wrong and conclusions shouldn’t be drawn now,” Vache Gabrielyan said, urging to draw corresponding conclusions in several months.

Armenia has become a full member of EEU since January 2, 2015.
