YEREVAN. – More than 300 thousand people left Armenia since 2008.
Head of the opposition Armenian National Congress National Assembly (ANC NA) Faction, Levon Zurabyan, on Wednesday stated the aforesaid at the NA, as he presented the ANC position on the 2014 State Budget Performance Report.
“All that [President] Serzh Sargsyan’s regime was able to achieve is the growing emigration,” Zurabyan said. “If 23 thousand people left the country each year since 2008, this reaches 50 thousand in recent years.”
“These are not numbers made up by me, but the official statistical data,” the ANC MP added. “It is incomprehensible why the authorities don’t even want to admit that the country is in crisis.”
