YEREVAN. – The number of marriages and divorces has reduced in January-March as compared with the same period last year, Armenian National Statistical Service official Karine Kuyumjyan told reporters on Wednesday.

Overall 4,346 marriages and 938 divorces have been registered during these months. The decrease in number of marriages falls mainly on Yerevan and Syunik region, while high numbers were registered in Aragatsotn, Armavir, Gegharkunik and Lori regions.

The highest number of divorces was registered in Lori region.

The age of first marriage for women is 20-29, for men 25-34.
