YEREVAN. - The Armenian government is trying to compensate the cash payments of Armenian Airlines aviators by attracting investors into the construction of the rest complex by Lake Sevan, Davit Harutyunyan, Chief of Government of Armenia staff said in the parliament on Wednesday.

The company’s bankruptcy manager is trying to find the necessary amount by selling the property, and in 2014 the PM instructed to find other necessary approaches. One of them is the investment program for 2 patches of land on the shores of Lake Sevan, Harutyunyan said.  

“The government has implemented the projection of buildings and communications at its own expense. And though the program is attractive in terms of investment, we haven’t found investors yet probably because of economic difficulties in the whole region, among other reasons. But we do not stop to work in this direction,” Harutyunyan said.

Around 20 former aviators of the Armenian Airlines, who turned bankrupt back in 2003, picket in front of the presidential residence of the country every Friday, requiring compensation for the occupational diseases.
