YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Ministry of Energy will propose the parliamentary factions to hold discussions regarding Nairit chemical rubber plant, Yervand Zakharyan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources said in the parliament on Wednesday.
“The government has always been a party concerned in solving this issue in favor of the plant employees and our economy,” Zakharyan said.
The overall wage arrears of the plant amount to 102 billion AMD ($235 million). Nairit plant, which used to produce chloroprene rubber highly demanded in world markets, has stopped its operation since April 2010.
