YEREVAN. – A total of 5,700 applicants in Armenia on Friday will write university entrance examinations in the subject of foreign languages.

Director of the Assessment and Testing Center, Gagik Melikyan, told the above-said to reporters. He added that 5,200 of these applicants will write exams in the English language.

“221 people are taking the German language exam, 200—the French, [and] 18 applicants—the Spanish,” Melikyan said. “No one is taking exams in Persian and Italian.”

He noted that, unlike other university entrance exams in Armenia, primarily capital city Yerevan applicants take the foreign language examinations.
