YEREVAN. – Those guilty must be punished for the squandering at the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) company.
Secretary of the opposition Heritage Party National Assembly (NA) Faction, Tevan Poghosyan, noted the above-said at Friday’s NA briefings.
In his words, it needs to be found out whether or not it is possible to increase the ENA efficiency without raising the electricity prices. But, nonetheless, those who brought the company to this state need to be punished.
“It is necessary to figure out what the [energy] system [of Armenia] needs so that it operates in normal fashion,” added Poghosyan.
The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) on Tuesday introduced a draft decision, according to which the price of electricity in Armenia will increase. On June 17, the PSRC is expected to approve this decision.
If this decision is approved, it is expected to be followed by an increase in the prices of first necessity goods in Armenia.
