A business forum, and devoted to the opportunities for Armenia-Belgium cooperation, was convened Thursday in the Belgian capital city of Brussels.
An Armenian delegation, led by Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan, also attended the event.
The business forum also brought together representatives from around thirty leading Belgian companies.
In his opening remarks, Armenia’s Ambassador to Belgium Tatoul Markarian noted that Armenian-Belgian relations create favorable conditions for the establishment and development of bilateral business ties. Ambassador Markarian also stated that Armenia looks toward expanding its presence in the Belgian market and attracting Belgian investments.
In his address to the business forum participants, Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan presented the conceptual approaches toward and main directions of Armenia’s economic development. The minister added that multilateral engagement creates significant advantages for conducting entrepreneurship in Armenia.
Subsequently, agreements were reached, with several Belgian companies, toward visiting Armenia in a foreseeable future.
