Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia signed an order to submit Kyrgyzstan’s Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) accession treaty for ratification by Russian President Vladimir Putin, reported the Russian government’s official website.

In December 2014, presidents of the EEU member countries (Armenia, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan) had signed Kyrgyzstan’s aforementioned accession treaty.

In May 2015, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev had signed documents attached to this treaty, especially the protocol on making amendments to Kyrgyzstan’s EEU accession treaty, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
